I am a professional bassist, equally at home on the double bass and the electric bass.
My experience is in most all styles which include: Classical (double bass), jazz, classic R&B, classic top 40, Southern beach and shag, country and bluegrass.
I also play for shows and plays and, I am an excellent reader on both instruments.
As a bassist, my job is to compliment the music by adding strength to the musical structure with rhythm and a moving foundation for the harmonies.
As an artist, my job is to blend with the other instruments and vocalists, and add to the overall color and sound of the music.
As a professional, my job is to compliment the other members of the ensemble.
