Our business hours are evolving and we have been modifying them to reflect the latest conditions of the "COVID-19 pandemic" and our new winter retail season schedule for January & February 2021.
We will be CLOSED beginning December 20, 2020 to January 3, 2021 for the Christmas & New Year Holidays.

Fern Valley Yard & Garden is open and is a "home grown" business that offers a wide selection of starts, flowers, plants, trees & shrubs for your garden which means we GROW(75%) and BUY(25%) of our products that are local to the region. This includes special orders for items we do not normally stock. And we are proud to be a certified NC State Nursery with the Department of Agriculture.
In addition to growing most of what we sell, those plants we bring in are purchased from nurseries within the immediate climate regions of North Carolina. This means the plants are already adjusted to the local climate. The mountain climates are, of course, cooler so be sure to mention this when you visit.
We are always willing to share our growing knowledge to assist you with seasonal and accidental growing problems you may be experiencing. Take pictures or bring in clippings in a plastic bag and we will do our best to find a solution or cause to your plants issues.
We also offer soil, soil treatments, pottery & accessories for your gardening needs and miniature landscapes. The soil is the very same product we use to start and grow our plants.
When you see the American Flag flying and the road-side signs, come on in - someone will be here to help you.
